for me. I have considered setting up a web site on and off and never have made the step. Well just now I *did* register the domain rachelbruce.net. I haven’t decided how to use the domain but I thought I would just do it and have a think and see what I might use it for. So this is simply a short post to say hi and so there isnt a blank page. If I am honest the idea of registering the rachelbruce.net domain came up this evening as I was considering establishing a blog about the place I live, North Camp. I am just getting a bit concerned about the way decisions are made and how we might end up with flats everywhere and no facilities, services, shops or places to go. I would far prefer some of the social values and quality of life values to be recognised in the town planning decisions that are made and at times for these to be seen as over and above the financial value that appears, to me at least, to be the sole driver. So I was thinking of setting up a blog called something along the lines: Make North Camp Count (although noone will read it!); anyway it needs more thought and consideration. However as I looked into it I saw that lots of the domains with rachelbruce were gone but .net was left so I just did it.
So that is “hi” out the way, and now before I sleep this evening I want to read the newspaper so shall go and do that, it is one of the luxuries of a Sunday and even then it’s always a last minute thing! If I can I might also squeeze in a read of the guide book I got the other week when I was at Fontevraud Abbey – I do need to ensure at least the basics of the history are in my head some how!
